- Hard drive speed at least 7200rpm, faster 1000rpm and 12,000rpm models are now available.
- Older Pc Laptops generally contain 4200 rpm , for best audio performance get a stronger laptop with a 5400rpm or 7200rpm drive.
- Two Drives are generally better than one. Use the first for Windows and its applications and the second (usually larger) for music storage.
- Single drive systems should be partitioned. In the event of Operating System Failure, your music files would be safe in their seperate partition in the event u need to reinstall.
- Run Disk Defragmentation when there becomes a noticeable slowness to the computer.
- Remember to back up your files, preferbly on a remote drive, nothing is foolproof so better safe than sorry.
- A Graphics card will remove all graphics burdens from the processor, So having one would be and advantage

- For Pc laptops the larger the shared memory of the graphics card wouldhelp (at least 64mb).
- Remove Desktop Background image, this uses critical memory, especially if you don't have a graphics card. every click you make with your mouse or letter u type on the keboard casues the desktop to be reloaded.
- Adjust Windows for best Perfomance not appearance. Control Panel -> System Properties -> Performance Options.

- Look around carefully and position speakers so they concentrate where required and not at the neighbours. Its a possibility they weren't invited
- Instead of One large source, use many small ones
- Carry a monitor, This lessons the need to blast the house through the crowd so that you can hear it loud. Imagine those people near the wall. This will also reduce the wear and tear on your drivers.
- Ensure more that Sufficient Power is available in the daylight, before lights are turned on. As when night falls you will be faced with a different situation, like .... Also longer power cables increases attenuation.
